The Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau Monday announced a strategic realignment and expansion of its leadership team.

Julie Calvert, the bureau's long-time vice president of communications and strategic development, will depart June 1 to transition to a new full-time role as executive director of Source Cincinnati, a regional initiative driving national placemaking efforts for Cincinnati. Calvert, a 15-year bureau veteran, has been an on-loan executive to Source Cincinnati while continuing her day-to-day bureau responsibilities over the past two years.

Source Cincinnati was created by a regional business and civic coalition, including the bureau, the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber and Redi Cincinnati among others, to establish one voice for enhancing national perceptions of Cincinnati to spur business, talent and visitor attraction.

Jason Dunn was promoted to vice president of multicultural and community development. During his tenure at the bureau, the number of multicultural meetings in Cincinnati have increased significantly, positioning Cincinnati as a national leader in attracting and hosting multicultural meetings and bringing $33 million in economic impact between 2006-2011. Dunn currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners, as board chair of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, and is chairman of the Cincinnati Police Foundation. Dunn is also head of the local organizing committee for the 2016 NAACP National Convention.

In his new role, Dunn will lead efforts to continue expanding Cincinnati's multicultural convention business, as well as in building corporate and community support and government relations for the bureau and industry initiatives.
